Many people have probably seen this video footage of the dragon statue illusion before. This egg will allow you to make a dragon statue of your own.

To make the statue; all you need is one of the templates below, a pair of scizzors, some tape, and a printer.
Download one of these templates depending on which color dragon you want.
The instructions for putting it together are already on the template. The only suggestion that I have is to make sure that you are very precise when cutting around the head and mouth of the dragon. When cutting along the edge of his lower jaw, be sure to cut the black line totally off. Doing this will make the pieces blend together better, therefore strenghting the effect of the illusion. If you have a good printer, I would suggest printing it on glossy photo paper with print settings on high quality. The images are high resolution so yours will come out looking good.
For the best viewing effect I have found that you should prevent any glare from shining on the statue’s face by putting a light behind the statue. Doing that will greatly enhance the illusion to where it is almost completely impossible to avoid seeing the illusion when looking at it. If for some reason you cannot get good lighting and you are having trouble picking up the illusion, try staring at his eyes for 10 seconds.

(end note) I did not create the original dragon template myself. What I did do was raise the size and resolution of the image so that it would be at the correct size and quality for printing. I also created the two extra colors to choose from. The video is not mine either.
Jan 24, 2007 3:04 pm - I forgot to mention that you should print the template image from microsoft paint or photoshop to ensure that the true image size is not distorted when printing. Printing from Windows picture and fax viewer will screw up the size.

And for you idiots who think this is a copy/paste. I am an egg mod so I know the rules. Below is the definition of copy/paste that can be found in the egg dropping guidelines.

Jan 28, 2007 11:06 pm - yea, i resized mine in microsoft word, but it doesn’t do the illusion, does it need to be bigger? because it says it’s too big for microsoft picture viewer, it will print on 5 pages if i try it on paint....
